Weight: 225.6

This first week of July has gone by fast.  Too fast.   Luckily with the holiday, I was able to keep to my weight loss regimen at least  a little. 

Had a salad for lunch, and a craving for spaghetti-o’s for dinner with popcorn later in the evening.  I hope it won’t hurt tomorrow’s number.

Each day that passes makes it harder and harder to achieve my goal of 185 by September.  I can look at it one or two ways: 

1) I can be depressed that I wont make my goal and give up

2) I can be pissed Im falling behind and work harder

 

I think I’ll go for #2.

Weight: 227lbs

Here it is, July 1, 2008.  Despite a great start, I have finished the month of June just short of my goal of 220 lbs.  Being stuck at 229 for 2 weeks really did a number on my self-confidence.  And as I sit here and type this, visions of a large French Dip sandwich with a side of cheese balls dance in my head.

Being short 7 lbs means that in order to meet my other goal of 200 by August 1, I need to lose 27 lbs this month.  That will be extremely difficult and extremely “dangerous” to lose almost a pound a day.  But,  the goal for August was only 15 lbs, so I may be able to make it up in August as well.

Regardless, it really is time to take everything to the next level with the goal of reaching 185 lbs by September 1.  Instead of thinking about ways I WONT reach it, it is time to think about ways I WILL.   This means walking not only at night, but also in the morning, not cheating on the diet change portion of the program, and possibly ridding myself of even diet soda.

Is there anybody still out there?  I know I haven’t produced a video lately, but let me know if you are there.

Weight: 227 lbs

Had a similar day to yesterday except I did go to Panchero’s for lunch - had the chicken quesdailla with chips & queso.   Have to go to the theater tonight, so won’t be able to walk, but really hope Pancerhos doesn’t ruin it for me.

Started off the day by seeing a brand new number on the scale.   I’m not sure if it is a real number or not, we will have to see tomorrow, but I am going with it!

Weight: 227.8

Breakfast: Slimfast shake

Lunch: Footlong subway club w/ lettuce onions, small bag of SunChips

Dinner: Slimfast shake and 1 egg salad sandwich

Exercise: Normal walk routine (approx 4 miles)

Im thinking of trying the Nike+ system that hooks up to the iPod Nano to be able to post some walking/running stats here on the blog.  Only problem is… I don’t have a nano (the major part of the equation)

If anybody has a contact at Nike and can convince them to sponsor me at onemansloss.com, let me know.

In what seems like a broken record, still at 229 today.

Breakfast included a slim-fast shake at work, with a mid-morning snack of a handful (or less) of almonds.

Lunch included a surprisingly delicious salad with light ranch and some cruncy croutons

Mid-afternoon snack was more almonds (I need to buy some apples)

Dinner - egg salad sandwich from hard boiled eggs I cooked Monday night.

I went for a walk tonight, but only about 3/4 of what I normally do, due to the impending thunderstorms that threatened to unleash their wrath.  I probably could have continued a lot further if I really wanted to.

I tried getting up at 5:30AM to walk in the morning, but it’s just too much.   Maybe tomorrow.   I really do need to “punch it” if I am going to meet this crazy goal I set in September.

Despite gorging myself yesterday, I am still at 229… go figure.  Today I went to Arby’s for lunch and felt awful, so the rest of the week is back to salad (even if back to Arbys)

Definitely starting to worry about the impending 220 milestone next week.   Could use all the positive vibes you can spare!

It’s been a tough week - sticking at 229.  Good news is Im still there, bad news is I’m still there.  Part of the problem has been no time for walking, something that I simply MUST do if I am going to meet the goal of 220 next week (its going to be TOUGH folks!)

Today was even harder since I had a cast party for the play at 4, and then dinner with family at a pizza buffet.

We’ll see how tomorrow looks…

weight: 229

I seem to be stuck at the 229 mark, so its time to kick it into the next gear with the exercise program.  I have been pretty lax in posting the specifics of the day, mainly because by the end of the night it seems I always forget to do a blog post… plus my Flip Ultra doesn’t like my computer.

Today I had my strawberry cereal bar for breakfast with a diet pepsi.  Then lunch was a foot long (i know…) Subway chicken Terayaki (still healthy.. kinda) I did steal a bag of Cheetos from the vending machine, though.  For dinner, I was tempted to order out for pizza (!!!) but I held on and had a lean cuisine instead.   Around 9PM, I was going to put in a DVD, but thought to myself… “I really need to walk.”  So I got up and did my normal walking routine from my place (near the mall) to the post office downtown.

And that is a summary of the diet today!

Weight: 229lbs

Still hanging in at 229, which is good since I cheated a couple of times over the weekend and went out for some fast food (gasp). I need to get back in the groove here soon. But if I can hold at 229 again tomorrow, I’ll know that I can keep it off, and then I can start to lose again.
