Despite gorging myself yesterday, I am still at 229… go figure. Today I went to Arby’s for lunch and felt awful, so the rest of the week is back to salad (even if back to Arbys)
Definitely starting to worry about the impending 220 milestone next week. Could use all the positive vibes you can spare!

Hi Amy,
I actually have been doing better at the vending machine. I now have a jar of raw almonds that I keep at my desk for emergency munchies. I tried baby carrots and I just cant get into them at all. :/
I have heard that diet soda extends your stomach instead of helping. Im trying to cut down on diet, but the ice-coldness is sooo good.
I haven’t bought your book yet, but if you really would like me to read it, send me a DM on twitter and I’ll reply with my address. Would be great!
Ive also read from Tim Ferris (of Four Hour Work Week) that eggs in the morning with black beans are his favorite. Im not sure I could cook black beans in the morning… but eggs I love.
Sometimes if Im in a hurry I just take a giant spoonful of natural organic peanut butter for morning protein.
Troy,
Try taking a Nalgene bottle of water to work with you. I find it easier to consume more water (i’m up to 100 ounces a day) if it is simple more convenient to drink.
Keep it by your desk and nurse it all day. It always helps me to put a splash (like 1 once) of orange juice in the water.

Troy - Drink more water, try eating more lean protein and fiber - like eggs for breakfast, or fish with quinoa for dinner and take healthy snacks to work so you aren’t tempted to eat from the vending machine. If you don’t have a copy of my book already, I’m going to send you one - so let me know. You CAN do this! ~amy
